This is an important year for IWC. To celebrate its 150th anniversary, IWC has launched an ambitious and impressive social media campaign aimed at launching a new line of watch products for the 150th Jubilee Collection – a milestone to mark the brand’s pride. It includes three new features for Pilot Collection. The first is the “affordable” Pilot watch, the second is the year calendar complex feature, the third is the fake IWC Big Pilot Big Date version of the watch” 150 years”(we call it” “Big Date Jubilee” “), white and blue dial options. While many of the models are only designed with updated or new dial colors, Big Date Jubilee adds an entirely new model with a large two-digit Date display complex feature before 12 o ‘clock – the first of the Big Pilot series and the first of its entire modern test line for IWC.
Pilot watch essentially needs to be legible, and I think while there are many brands that sell Pilot watches, top swiss IWC replica watch has been a dominant figure in the field and has been impressed by its clear, readable and coherent design. Big Date Jubilee is no exception. If there’s one thing the watch can’t be blamed for, it’s hard to read. The striking lacquered blue dial is perfectly finished, almost like enamel, with bright white markings and glowing sword hands (perfect length) offering a fantastic contrast to it. Even evil glare with AR coating on sapphire crystal glass can be easily picked for date and time without causing too much pressure or obstruction. The iconic 12 o ‘clock triangle doesn’t provide much clutter over the big date, and the sub-second hand perfectly blends with the dial. I commend the watch for creating a sub-dial that’s big enough and doesn’t cut off indexes or Numbers on either side – something many brands seem unable to do.
The Big Date complex features fit well into the dial without causing heavy or distracting features. When I saw the original news images, I was sure IWC had a pilot watch with a big date, but learned they didn’t. The Big Date complex functionality has historically been reserved for the Portofino family, demonstrating the subtleties of adding complex functionality. While I usually advocate matching the date window, the contrast is perfect for watches. The IWC Replica Swiss Movement even uses a thin white border to frame the display, making it easier to see.
Since Portofino is the “major” Big Date model in the IWC directory, they used an improved version of the internal 59220 movement. Since the 59220 is a day of the week and power reserve indicator, IWC strips the former and leaves the large date and small second hand counter, while moving the eight-day power reserve indicator to the back of the cheap fake IWC watches – creating a new movement of 59235. In addition to the small window of the power reserve indicator, there is no manual winding 4Hz movement through the bottom cover. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of the back of the exhibition showing the new movement, but I thought the utilitarian nature of the watch concealed the missed opportunity. In any case, the open power reserve indicator and “150 years” stamping base cover look neat and provide a 60-meter waterproof performance for the watch.
